I really liked your poem Coll! The beginning shocked me for a moment, and when I saw the ginger beer line after it, I laughed out loud. As a lover of ginger beer myself, I can see how we would easily be tempted in to taking one from the fridge. Its tough to resist temptation!
ReplyDeleteMaybe next time you could try reviewing some of your specific language and finding some more creative ways of capturing the taste or sense of something. Eg. bubbly or fizzy instead of cold, since the original author used cold.
