This week we have been looking at adding decimals here is a little example
Let's say you have a hard math question that you need to work out in school. The question you have is 2.20 + 1.15, let’s work it out .
So when you are doing math questions like this you need to use the p.u.p rule the pup rule stands for point under point. When you start you have to add the last numbers in the decimal this is how you do it 0+5 then you would go 5+6 and last 1+2.
If you are adding a number and they make a double number you have to carry the first number and put is with the next set of numbers. When you have carried a number you have to make sure that you make it in to a double digit number if i had 5+7 and i had to carry a 1 over that would make it 15+7 then you add those together then if you are still stuck with a number over 9 you have to carry the first number over the the set and do the same thing.
